Board of Directors
The Board of Directors consists of seven (7) members inclusive of the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson, one non-GP voting Director with accounting and strategic planning expertise and one non-GP Director representing consumer perspective; and the Chief Executive Office.
Aim
The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall direction setting of the organisation.
Roles and responsibilities
Being a member of the Board involves:
- Providing leadership and vision;
- Ensuring the Board has the right balance of membership;
- Setting the aims, strategies and policies of Fremantle GP Network;
- Monitoring the achievements of Fremantle GP Network;
- Reviewing the resources of Fremantle GP Network; and
- Ensuring the Board has appropriate information to be effective.

Chair - Dr Graham Farquhar
Dr Farquhar was appointed to the Board during 2001 and became Chairperson in 2006. Graham has been in general practice since 1984, and his special interests include sports medicine and asthma.

Deputy Chair - Dr Hilary J. Fine
Dr Fine was appointed to the Board in 2009. Hilary was previously Chair and returns to the board after a three year hiatus. Hilary is a local GP and practises in East Fremantle.

Dr Jim Codde
Dr Codde was appointed to the Board during 2005 and is currently a Director of the Health Services Planning Unit within the South Metro Area Health Service. Jim has worked in health for the past 30 years.

Company Secretary - Mr Teik Oh
Mr Oh was appointed to the Board in November 2004. Teik has over 27 years experience as a Chartered Accountant in Australia and the UK. He is also a member of the Finance Committee.

Dr Leonie Nulsen
Dr Nulsen was appointed to the Board during 2002. Leonie's special interests include women's health, children's health and advancing support structures for GPs.

Dr William Sands
A founding director of Fremantle GP Network in 1993 and past Chair, Dr Sands rejoined the Board in 2008. Bill has been a GP in the Fremantle area since 1981 with a special interest in obstetrics and paediatrics.

CEO - Christa Riegler
Ms Riegler was appointed CEO in 2006, since then FGPN has experienced tremendous growth both in the number of and size of projects and in the number of staff employed. Christa has held management positions in not-for-profit organisations for 20 years. Her particular interests include youth well-being and assisting disadvantaged groups access health services.
